China is an entire economy built on intellectual property thievery and slave labor. The whole thing, that’s they’re advantage. Theft and slavery. The Chinese CCP can fuck off into the sun.
Because USA did exactly the same in the past. Take all the designs and ideas from somewhere else to build themselves up, then get ahead and turn around and forbid everyone else to use their stuff.
China is now doing following that same plan. It wasn’t even hard. All they had to do was to say to give the designs and they’ll producer them cheaper. Now they’re the factory of the world. We knew this was going to happen but short term profit before long term consequences, right? A few tariffs aren’t going to stop this.
Their people are more educated, prosocial, eloquent, and courteous than Americans.
From the perspective of humanity having a future, we look like the murderous trailer park to be ashamed of. Willful ignorance, shamelessness, and hyperindividistic selfishness are failings, deficits, not strengths.
China is on the rise and we are in decline. After interacting with many of them on Rednote, I’m ok with that. They offer to empathize and teach us mandarin, my fellow Americans tell their fellow Americans to die in the streets if they’re struggling over some petty gotcha like ordering a latte. Almost everyone here is just waiting for their next hit of schaudenfreude.
Why root for the home team when the home team rewards sociopathy and resents their taxes educating children? This country is a gold plated exploitation camp. China has their sins, but they’re better than us, though that’s quite a low bar.
I won’t bother regailing you with all of our sins, but we compete in spades, so I’ll only respond with this:
We literally found profit in incarcerating our own citizens and have the largest prison population on Earth. 2 million prisoners. More than China with their billion people, more than anyone, in bondage. Not per capita, the most prisoners the planet from our 300 million. Glass houses.

The sins of the United States don’t justify others committing them.
China is as much on the rise as 1950s United States. And if you think it can be sustained unlike the US. You haven’t been paying attention.
That said, the people of both countries definitely have a lot in common. Sexism, bigotry and racism being some of those things. You are extremely sanitized interactions on red note are cute and quaint. But not truly representative . We also have a need to throw off our wealthy governing elite. Whether its trump and friends or the Xi pack in the forbidden city. The regular person will suffer as long as they stay in power.
