      It’s also exactly what they all expect: Trump to announce on day 1 that all his loyal followers are pardoned so that their weird Messiah complex will come true. “See! He came back for us! Now we can do even stupider shit and get excused for it. What’s worse than threatening political leaders? Oh, actually killing them? Then that’s what’s next!”

        Yup.

        Every missed opportunity to hold Trump accountable for his crimes weakened our institutions and judicial system and spawned more extremists.

        We’re about to see a whole lot more lawlessness in this country.
