  • You can’t argue with someone that just keeps rambling in 10 different directions at once. You are someone without a compass. You are very understandably alienated and frustrated by the world that we live in. But instead of finding guidance through reading theory or organizing with real people you’ve spent your days listening to politics and trying to form your own dillusional world view. You’ve convinced yourself that “no one gets it” but when showed that there are people that get it and there are people that are organizing you instead tried to vote shame them so you can stay in your comfort zone.

Your political views are not intelligent. They are nihilism. That’s it. There is no reason to argue with a nihilist.

  • Unfortunately I don’t think that that’s possible. MAGA was able to take over the Republican party because they still fundamentally defend the interest of capital. It’s why you still have career Republicans that criticized MAGA as a part of MAGA today.

The Democrats refuse to move left because leftist are anti capitalist and pro worker. They will never move that way because it is against their class interest and against the class interest of their donors. The most they will do is “allow” some slightly progressive voices like AOC into the party at “tokens”. But they will never platform them or allow them to grow.

The Democrats will gladly lose elections if it prevents anyone left of Reagan from winning.

Why is your criticism so heavily directed at voters? Voting for who you want is a fundamental part of democracy. You are spending so much energy criticizing voters but I haven’t seen an ounce of criticism for the actual party leadership. It is literally the job of the party leaders to create a platform that aligns with its voting base. They literally turned their back on their base in order to try to appeal to Trump voters with anti immigration policies. THEY HAD ADS TALKING ABOUT BUILDING THE WALL. Do you think MAYBE that has something to do with why the Democrats failed to get voters out to the polls?

It’s so odd to be upset at people not voting and then deciding that you would rather just roll over and die than resist anything. Yeah dude, that’s how history works, people that are oppressed fight against unbeatable odds. But mocking people that want to fight against genocide is siding with the genocide. “If we can’t win I won’t even bother” is the exact reason that we can’t win. So many dumb Americans like yourself are ok with being completely pacified by neoliberalism, give zero shits about what happens to others, and then get upset at the people actually going outside and helping people.

Get your bull shit nihilism out of here. Don’t shame people that didn’t vote and then turn around and say you’re just ready to roll over and accept fascism. Go enjoy the toys that pacify you then. Why spend time caring if people voted or not? Go watch Netflix and ignore politics.

Edit: Did he delete his comment? I can’t see it. But dude went full lib-fascist. Told me he hopes the brown shirts come for me.

Liberals trying to not side with brown shirts challenge impossible. God, it’s amazing how history repeats itself. It’s ok. They’ll round up all us “Larpers” first. I mean it’s the first line of the poem.

I guess I was LARPing when I went to protest that blocked shipments of weapons in the Seattle docks. Bombs that kill 45% children. I guess I was LARPing when I joined protest for Palestine in Vancouver. I guess I’m LARPing when I organize with the PSL to protest against ICE raids.

I’m sure you’ll say “none of that matters” because resisting fascist with actual material actions is LARPing. But voting, voting in a system that is controlled by the interest of the capitalist class. THAT’S what makes a difference. /s

Maybe come join the live action role players. At least we go outside more than once every 4 years. At least we prepare our neighborhoods with ways to resist ICE. It sounds like you just wanted to fall asleep for 4 more years while actual activist in this country continue to resist fascism and Imperialism whether it’s a blue or red guy in the Whitehouse. Maybe come join the “LARPers” and make actual material impact.

Or you could just cry on reddit that “Leftist” aren’t doing enough. When the only political action you seem to have ever done is cast a vote.

I mean your comment admitted it. You want to hide your head in the sand. Go ahead. Go hide your head in the sand. I’m sure there’s a new Anime you can go watch.

And then what? Get 4 more years of a genocidal Cop in the white house further normalizing “tough on the border” policies and genocidal foreign policy. And then follow it up with another Republican with even more of a “mandate” to murder immigrants and bomb brown kids? America has been a dictatorship of the capitalist class since it’s founding. Voting for president is like voting for a temporary court jester. It doesn’t change who runs this country. It only changes which interest of the ruling class are served.

  • Why do people pretend that each election is in isolation? That if somehow we had all just voted for Harris even harder that America wasn’t headed down this path anyway. This shit has been a plan of American politics since Ronald Reagan.

I’m not an “accelerationist” by any means. But it’s just silly to act like this is a problem with voter turnout and only if we had “voted harder” it would all be fine. No. The entire system is fundamentally broken. That’s how we got here.

  • You’re right. If you see the world not as a conflict between nation states but as a class war all of this makes a lot more sense. This is not to say that nation states don’t matter. They are absolutely still used by the ruling class to maintain order and justify their actions as a “defense of our nation and culture”. Fascism has no hard rules or ideologies. It is used to defend capitalist interests and power. It is why we are seeing the rise in far right politics in the west.

The capitalist class does not know borders; it knows class interest. Fascism is the defense of this interest in the face of capitalism internal contradictions.

  • Thats not at all how politics and fascism works. Germany is not isolated from the rest of the world and in some time capsule. It’s definitely not “like the US in 2004” because we’re living in 2025. And it’s not just AFD. Even the greens are fear mongering over immigrants. Germany wasn’t somehow isolated from the rise in islamophbia since 2001. They have been a major part of that and are talking about Muslims like they are Jews in 1930s Germany.

Fascism doesn’t have a 20 year lag. It very often arises in major world powers at the same time. This is due to it being a defensive response of the capitalist class in class conflict. What is happening in the US is also happening in Germany.

It’s a bit more than that. They are essentially doing to America what America has done to other countries. Forcing complete privitization of all aspects of life. They’re basically doing what was done to the former USSR in 90s but now internally. “Shock Doctrine”.

Fascism is Imperialism turned inward on the imperial core itself. The suffering of the working class will be blamed on “the left” resisting and “harboring criminals”. They’ll use that as an excuse for further militarization of the police and ICE. By the time white middle class people realize what’s happening the US will have started a “defensive” war and rely on nationalism to keep the population subservient during ever worsening material conditions.

Protests, strikes, or boycotts with a planned end date are next to useless. You can do that if it makes you feel good. But don’t do it in place of real organizing. The best thing you can do now is organizing locally. Join your local PSL and support what they are doing.
