  • The US contains some of the best cancer research centers in the world, most of which are non profits. On top of this you genuinely can buy the best care if you can afford it, as top talent across the world go to the US to get rich if they’ve lost all their morals.

It’s just everyone except the super rich and people with rare cancers that might someday affect rich people that can’t get care without bankruptcy and have to use enshittified hospitals.

Every time Republicans have held the absolute minority in government, Dems were hamstrung and couldn’t pass any progressive legislation.

    Somehow the reverse isn’t true.

Therefore Dems don’t dislike what trump is doing. What can be done when the uniparty reveals itself as it has, with Dems rubber-stamping anything Trump does?

Well we’re on .world. so that can’t be discussed per instance rules.

Go back to any month in any year in the last thirty. You’ll find the same type of opinion pieces from the same people. Despite this China has raised the most people out of poverty in all of history, and has matched the US’ s GDP.

Pointless ‘china is really failing this time despite us being wrong the last 2000 times’ articles prove absolutely nothing. Because China isn’t trying to be profitable. They are not an oligarchy like euro nations. They are not a kakistocracy like the US. Their economy is fundamentally different.

  • How is eliminating failed management and ensuring the money held in the bank covering it up?

Do you not know how the economy works in China? Over 60% of the economy is public sector, while some of that is just state investment, some is also failed private sector businesses that still would serve a purpose without profit motive.

It would be ridiculously cruel to allow a bank to fail while it still holds the savings of ordinary citizens. And it would be ludicrously stupid to bail out failed companies and just allow them to continue functioning as they had. So you buy them, change the mission, replace the management, everyone except the rich fucks win

The image says 16.7 for Taipei, not 6.7. neither my comment nor the image contains a 6.7.

Now you can argue all western and Eastern sources are undercounting nk and China, that’s why I didn’t even include nk given the natural mistrust of information from a country with less than 10k tourists a year; but any search of this info online shows the same trend: Chinese nationals dont commit suicide as often as their oppressed neighbors.

The harm is simple, people get the illusion they’re making a difference and that it’s enough, it also legitimizes voting as the way to change things despite ample evidence it doesn’t.

This leads to Dems hating protestors, or telling protestors to protest quietly and no in the road. This leads to liberals hating the working class when they go in strike, because why didn’t they just vote for better conditions. It leads to liberals hating anything useful, because they already did the only ‘useful’ thing and voted.

This leads to lesser evilism and accepting institutions as the foundation of society, instead of any ideology that will positively change things.

  • It actually does. But don’t worry, pick any stat you associate with freedom. The US will rank below 40 compared to other nations, it will rank below 100 in many categories.

Nz being an ally of the US is a hold over from your imperialist colonialist past, nothing more. You’ve advanced beyond the US, as have a lot of nations. The only thing the US has over you is GDP, a stat not useful for much according to the inventor of GDP, and military spending.

Given what it uses that spending for I get why you’d be scared, being an island nation in the Pacific and all; but realistically they’re not competent enough to invade you anymore. I mean they’ve lost every war they started since WWII.
