Every other time I go on People's Daily for Chinese news, I see a headline related to earthquakes. Why are there so many?

China’s official newspaper: People’s Daily.

I know China’s a big place, and there might be a lot of headlines about mutual aid for disaster survivors. I’m just amazed that I’ve seen so many earthquake related headlines on the site.
