Part of me is in amazement we have technology like this.
Then I’m reminded that it’s often used for very shitty purposes. Wooo, now photo backup services, social media, and (extremely dedicated) social media stalkers have your location data without any geotagging done by the user.
How long before some creepy incel tracks down one of those twitch streamers using tech like this?
Yeah, with this I’m rethinking launching an educational video channel, and will probably end up just sharing my info via blog (are blogs even still a thing?)
Which is disappointing, honestly, because the info lends itself to a video medium, but… meh. My safety is a lot more important than sharing info.
I feel for anyone out there who already has easy-to-locate pics out there… and I hope the people in their lives tell them about this so they can do what makes them comfortable.
Tried it, and I’m not impressed. Apart from their demo pictures, it found none of my pictures

Requesting an account told me, that it’s only open for LE & Co, and in the demo only their pictures where available - as far as I’ve seen
