And the owner of Riot Games is Tencent, that and WeChat stick out from the rest of the list because they are owned and developed by Tencent instead of just Tencent owning stock
Again, non of those have been legally banned in the US.
I’m not saying those companies don’t exist? Just answering the question of who the top commenter was referring to, which in my opinion is Tik Tok because it’s the only one being legally banned.
If you believe the Chinese government is spying on you through a video game, you’re mentally unwell. If you believe it’s unethical to monetarily support a Chinese government because ( bad thing the CIA said through its media division ), but you see no problem with supporting any other large corporation, you’re either a racist or a hypocrite.
Lots of video games contain root kits labeled as “anti-cheat” that run at ring 0 of your computer, even more access than the OS.
Yes they take info, and it has access to everything.
Tik Tok is the only tencent company I know if that’s been labeled a national security risk.
They also have a stake in all these companies…
Legaue of legends
Epic games
Ubisoft
From soft
Activision blizzard
WeChat
LoL is not a company, the creator and owner of it is Riot Games.

That’s nice dear, the Chinese government doesn’t care. They have actual shit to do.
Fromsoft is unfortunate, but I honestly don’t use any of the rest.
I believe discord is also owned by tencent
Tencent likely has a sizeable stake, but is unlikely to hold a majority stake of Discord.
My mistake the own a large share, enough to have sway
I think the MSFT buyout eliminated their stake in ABK?
