All facets of gen ai are a real boon for things like indie video games and animations once you get past the constant pessimism. I’m insanely excited for llm driven npcs and things of that nature as well.

It also makes correcting documents a breeze work wise. I’d give a lot just for that tbh.

Regardless of its root, the word luddite has a clear meaning. I find it hilarious the anti-ai bros wear it as a badge of honor, thinking they are somehow bringing the old meaning back when the current common one describes them exactly; someone who is stupidly against progress and new technologies.

I don’t either hut the alternative is much worst in my opinion. It would mean the algorithms are so advanced they are predicting conversations instead of listening to them.

As much as I think this is a great solution and should be written into law, the anti-ai crowd only asks it from one industry and it’s a clear sign of bias.

Not to mention that the big companies are literally doing it, either building new nuclear plants or restarting old ones. They aren’t the one holding green energy back, the oil cartel and their corrupt politicians are.

So this a terrible use case and clearly fake interviewing dead people is plain silly.

That being said, I do have quite a drive to do everyday and I end up listening to the radio whenever I get bored of audio books. I would absolutely love a system that would mix up my favorite songs with AI hosts talking about recent news and subjects I specifically care about.
