Without some level of beneficial dictatorship all projects are doomed if moderation is required.

The ideas sound solid. One of Lemmy’s issue is different instances hosting the same community and frequently posting the same content. But too much centralization leads to lemmy.world admins controlling everything. Still there might be abuse such as people claiming every community name.

Art as a job means catering to what other people like instead making what you want to make.

Occasionally it is the same thing but more than often not.

If I remember correctly influencers went out of their way to promise Honey was not doing anything sketchy like selling your data and said they got a small commission from the seller free of charge. Turns out Honey stole others commissions.

The government controls all media. If they do not control one and it get big, it gets ‘regulated’ like TikTok or even banned. The general public will vote for the oligarchy as instructed.

Being a fan can make you part of a group. Especially great for people without identity. Slap a sticker on that empty personality!

I cannot think of many dumb people who got rich by themselves. Unless they win the actual lottery instead of the birth lottery
