I’ve had to use it for a week now. It has the most braindead, unintuitive UI I’ve ever seen. Unbelievably inefficient. So much wasted space. Parts that don’t make any sense at all. Notifications are a crap shoot. It crashes during conferences and blows through memory like mad. Whoever signed off on this trash is certifiably insane. Skype was uglyish and clunky but at least it worked.
It’s a temple fade. Kinda like what people wore in the 90s and early 2000s.
His “business acumen” is hostile takeover style from the 80s-90s. If the guy really studied up he would’ve known those types come in and slash and burn. No one is spared. They squeeze the juice out until a company is “lean and mean” and attractive to investors that want to liquidate or restart without old guard getting in the way. What a dummy.

Vicegrips. Wirestrippers. A light screwdriver with common bits carried on its handle like a Sidewinder. Rake lockpick. SDR. Elevator key. Punch. File. Multimeter. Multitool with good pliers. Crank radio. Survival guide. Poncho. Silver exposure blanket. Fire starters. Multihammer thing. MREs. Good flashlight. Beater laptop like an old x200. Serial console adapter. Flares. Camping stove. Throw it all in a bugout bag after you learn how to use them.
If the cups aren’t plastic they’re unrecyclable paper amalgamations. Plastic bags were recyclable but now we have reusable ones that aren’t. Or both. Same for straws. They gave up after a year or so around here.
I heard Ireland hiring is also for tax reasons. But I’m seeing them move to South Americans more and more. Uruguay especially. I know Big Blue hired thousands there after doing RTO in the US.
Can confirm the first part. But then he says if you have too much experience you get less bites. And late night calls without more pay are an issue. Then tells us to “upskill” and have a “side hustle.”

Capitalism is the point. They’re usually fine tools until they have investors steering the ship.
It’s hard to get out of that mindset once you’re in it and you see what people are capable of.
Always be unpredictable. It could save you from getting robbed or mugged.
Is funny how we have all this tech for it and they’ve only managed to enshittify the process. Some sites are going back to the original purpose like indeed but it’s still like tossing your resume into space.

When I was younger I’d frown upon artists making a pop record. Now that I know most working bands often barely scrape by and often get screwed over by labels and promoters, etc., I can’t really fault them for it. And usually they’ll keep making what they want on the side anyway.

The TNT was a beast! I ran it on a k6-2 also. Unfortunately it crapped out and I replaced it with an MX400 which I still have (I have a problem). We all played with a myriad of platforms. One guy was on a friggin’ Alpha that he warmed his feet with under his desk (not sure if he actually played on that but it was a running joke). We also played Quake but for some reason we were obsessed with the silliness of UT. MMMMM MONSTER KILLL.
Always wondered this. I don’t think my cat gives a goddamn but she hides from strangers. My dogs know if I put on certain clothes it’s time for walkies and get excited. My old girl with poor vision will sniff my feet to be extra sure.
