I hadn’t thought of it in these terms. Sometimes, someone says something profoundly true and you just have to stop and reckon with it. I remembered the lady who was buying a 13" laptop to get into video editing. A year later, I saw her and asked how that was going. She was so surprised that I remembered her that I take great delight in the fact that we were real people and not a faceless corporation. I remember lots of people who weren’t assholes.

I do for books. We just came from a park where I sat and read a book for an hour because that makes me happy.

I worked customer-facing retail tech support. Some asshole said, “c’mon, man, give me a smile,” when I didn’t laugh at his unfunny joke while I was troubleshooting his computer. I was concentrating on doing my job; I didn’t have time to polish his ego. I am still annoyed at that interaction.

I only heard about it after it happened. Guy in the last year of high school said his parents wanted him to go to college but he probably wouldn’t because that was “stupid” or something similar. Girl in the group blew up on him because she desperately wanted an education and couldn’t afford tuition basically anywhere. She called him spoiled and selfish, I believe.

The only correct format is from greatest to smallest: yyyy-mm-dd

This is, in my mind, verifiable by noting the way that lists are ordered when using this format. They are sequential. This isn’t true for either of the other formats.
