I was thinking more along the lines of galvanizing their current followers like Hillary’s “deplorable” comment did.
It’s like how evangelical Christians support Israel as a way to trigger the end times. They don’t care that this means a third of Jews will be cast into a lake of fire, they just want to make Jesus come back.
