My gf does this too. She will buy me a game just to watch me play it. Although sometimes it’s to keep me distracted while she plays The Sims.
I used to have a partner like this. She would comment on my face as I’m being serious in a part of a game haha.
She was sweet however some incident caused us to realise it was no longer working on a romantic level. It’s a very sweet feeling though.
One of my exes made decent money, would bring me flowers to work occasionally, really sweet girl. She would go way out of her way to try to find common things between us like down to the point of eating the same condiments on food even if she didn’t like them.
As she approached her twenties, She started getting riskier and riskier in her extracurricular behaviors. Hanging out with people that were getting her blackout drunk, possibly having their way with her (per her own admission) still want to do hang out with them.
I poked around some years later to see where she landed, at some point she was dating an IT guy and decided to throw an IT party for him. The whole thing just burbled with sweet, and cringe. Which was pretty on target.
Glad I moved on and I’m glad it looks like she landed somewhere comfortable for her.
Damn…I gotta get an IT job…
If you’re shooting for crazy, dangerous and cheating, you can probably find that with just about any career path. GL out there and stay safe!
I absolutely love watching people play Morrowind and sometimes the og XCOM. Only those games though not sure why
Cartoon guy is oblivious. Dude, she’s telling you… she likes to watch.
Not oblivious at all.
She sucks at watching because she’s not seeing all of his sweet Tony Hawk moves god women are the worst so dumb
If this is truly supposed to be a sexual innuendo she has no chance of him ever getting it. She needs to learn to communicate her wants and needs, at least more.
Sometimes communicating your fetishes can be tricky. I mean, how do you find the right words to say “Honey, I’d like to open our relationship. But just for me. You’ll still remain faithful. But I will be seeking 149 other full time women. That way, I can see 5 of you a day, once a month. And none of you will orgasm, unless you’re with me. So once a month, each of you will compete for the chance to orgasm against 4 other women who ALSO haven’t orgasmed in at least a month, but more likely far longer, just as yourself. That way, everyday I can host a mini sexual olympics with a rotating cast of competitors. And I’ll stream it online, and charge people to watch. And then the users can also pay an extra fee to watch the reward orgasm for the winner! And an even higher tier to watch the 4 losers punishments! 2nd place is my personal driver for the day. 3rd place has to cook dinner for the day. 4th place is the maid for the day. And 5th place gets tied down to a table and tickled by the other 4 women.”
It’s really hard to communicate that to your partner and not have her get all…judgy.
The other half’s rib cage is showing.
The solution is playing Mouthwashing.
Also there are almost no good couch coop games, sadly.
I dont play a lot of modern games so im basically a normie in terms of gaming but mario kart and smash bros with friends is really fun
Child of Light
Cult of the Lamb
Stardew fucking Valley. Spent hundreds of hours with my wife on that game, amazing time!
Ever heard of an obscure little game called Baldurs Gate 3?
Castle Crashers
Untitled Goose Game
Cuphead
Unravel
Cat Quest
Nine Parchments
Any Lego game
A few of the recent Mario games
Overcooked
Diablo
Teenage mutant ninja turtles
Mario Kart (yes, switch was our main)
It takes two is great as well!
I was surprised at the sheer quality and variety of this game.
It’s fun to play with either my kid or my wife.
Stardew Valley
The trine games! The first two are a little dated (while still being very fun) and the third one is pretty bad, but 4 or 5 are accessible and great!
A few of the recent Mario games
Don’t know about others, but you can barely call Odyssey co-op. Cappy mostly just watches Mario play.
Wonder
A couple couch co-op games i like are:
hyper light drifter
Rain world (with the downpour dlc) (incredible game)
Just shapes and beats
Crawl
Binding of Isaac (pretty sure some dlc is required)
Snipperclips plus
Duck game
Pikuniku
A hat in time (I haven’t actually played myself but my friends have)
it takes two was pretty good, also I forgot if portal 2 multiplayer has split screen or not but that would be fun too
edit: you can also mod Minecraft java edition to have split screen and controller support, haven’t personally tried it, but I saw a YouTuber do it lolBedrock could also be played on a console split screen.
I’m bummed that Mario and Luigi brothership isn’t co-op, it’s in the name, TWO people!
There are some other cute switch games that are co-op. Yoshi’s crafted world was fun.
Portal 2 has split screen, at least the PC version
“I got you Spiritfarer and I’m going to have my camera held up at you every time you have to say goodbye to someone”
Quit the game before I said goodbye to the deer (who is the first person if I remember correctly) because that game is too damn sad. Like it’s great, well written and I love the art style, but fuck man I’m playing games to have fun and that was not doing it for me. One of those games I’ll recommend but probably never finish.
My wife does this for reasons I don’t understand. Maybe I’m some kind of famous streamer or something. But I still have to choose good cute games like Mario or Kirby.
Both ori games are good and cute, tunic also comes to mind
If you need cute games to stream to your world, I’d recommend spirittea and wuppo
you gotta start screaming like a twitch streamer starting a YouTube video, “HELLO TODAY GUYS WE ARE GOING TO TRY TO BEAT DARK SOULS WITHOUT ATTACKING!! REMEMBER TO SUBSCRIBE AND HIT THAT BELL” then just die to the same boss for 8 hours straight
Jerma stream with that one really easy puzzle
Don’t forget to promote raid shadow legends, audible, a meal plan program, and some form of powdered caffeine you mix with water thats vaguely grape flavored
And Honey.
I sometimes wonder what happened to all the boxed mattresses - Casper, Purple, Helix. They all just seem to have vanished into thin air.
Everyone went out and bought knockoffs of the ones that spoke to them. Bought a knockoff extra-firm Casper “with Cooling Gel” five years ago. No regrets.
