I could edit the firmware but I like this just in case there are thermocouple issues.

I can also point a heat gun at it for a minute.

    If it is too cold for the equipment, it is too cold for me.

    This error is a nice indication for me that I need to turn up the diesel heater before starting the voron.

    You can check what the value actually would read as if you unplug the thermistor (as that’s what it’s a protection against), and as long as you aren’t near that reducing MINTEMP should be perfectly fine. For example, mine reports something like -50C.

    I keep a hair dryer next to my enclosure to get it above the MINTEMP threshold, it’s really stupid, but it does at least work.

    Yes, if the reading reaches 0°C the firmware turns off to protect against measurement failures.

    There is probably a patch to chamge that temperature.

      This is a 3D Printing sub. We print with 215°C molten plastic. Putting the printer into an enclosure is usually enough to heat itself, even in subzero conditions.
