Why is it that every single thing I hear about AdmiralPatrick/ptz makes me love him all the more? Dude goes on a one-man crusade to implement Beehaw’s philosophy all on his own, SUCCEEDS, and in so doing triggers the trolls so much that it inspires such a hit piece as OP’s rant (that despite all the talking fails to include a single link to any actual “evidence”, even cherry picked and out of context - like c’mon OP, you can surely troll better than this!?:-P). I don’t live in West Virginia but damn maybe he’ll let me have an account there regardless… :-)

Edit: and before OP gets around to saying it, I want to jump out ahead and say it about myself: this me so much right now, and loving it!

If true, this explains it all right there, regardless of the underlying issues (I mean regardless of ethics of right and wrong etc.). You could just leave the community if you don’t like the content, perhaps making your own, or make a respectful post outlining your reasoning to try to convince people, etc. But acting like a toxic asshole doesn’t seem like it’s helpful to anyone?

People routinely get banned from all the communities across the entire instance for saying things that are negative - or not strongly positive enough - about the former communist nations especially Russia or China, or communism etc. You got off easy here merely having just the post removed. So you probably want to find other communities not on Lemmy.ml before this happens to you. As you did here!:-)

You are not the only one. I am starting to unsubscribe from communities that I feel like it is simply too much of. I get that people want it, and that’s their choice, but it’s feeling a bit overwhelming lately. I thought it might decrease after the USA election but… nope.
