  • I’ve always had a lot of friends who are women, but the ones who were in my “league” or higher almost all eventually asked why I never hit on them, or blatantly hit on me. It was a weird mix of them being upset I hadn’t like it was a judgement on their attractiveness, and being frustrated because they thought it was an eventuality and were tired of waiting.

But, humans are pattern recognition machines, we don’t even realize we’re doing it most of the time.

Especially for a very attractive woman in her 20s, if a guy is interacting with her, it’s likely because they want sex.

So you can’t fault them for the assumption, but then when they run into a guy that legit is cool just being platonic friends, they tend to pursue a relationship because they see that as a desirable trait. Even just for a FWB thing, you’ve shown that you’re “safe” and it can become a conquest thing as well because they’re not used to the rejection of not being pursued and want the ego boost of changing your mind.

There’s just an absolute shit ton going on, so it’s hard to judge anyone because their life experiences are why they hold their current beliefs.

  • Have you tried old school country music?

Some of the modern stuff, but mostly stuff from 20-30 years ago that’s just sad as fuck.

Just get in your own head and start thinking of past regrets and people who are gone.

Like, “having a good cry” honestly helps, so it’s worth putting the work in to “learn” to cry. It’s flushing out hormones and neurotransmitters, and can lower cortisol which has a whole bunch of benefits.

So maybe not country, but find some music that makes you emotional and start a straight up “crying playlist” to get you in that headspace. It’ll get easier overtime

  • Holding hands is hard wired in us, it makes us feel secure on an instinctual level.

When someone prays alone, they hold their own hands and our brains are dumb enough to not know the difference.

When done with a group and you hold each other, it promotes group bonding as well.

It’s like when they have you shake hands or hug your neighbor to begin with, it’s the same psychological reaction as smiling because smiling makes you happy.

You’re tricking your brain into thinking everything is fine and you’re safe by going thru the motions.

It’s much older than any religion that exists today, it’s older than hominds.

  • This is America…

A corporation is a person, today’s Ford isn’t the descendant of 1938, it’s the same entity.

So if you’re trying to simplify my thoughts process, it would be:

Once a nazi, always a nazi

There’s some shit you can’t make up for later in life. Not saying you can’t go on to do good things and help people, it’s just rare and will never make up for every past action.

Someone that is truly reformed, won’t let that stop that from trying. Because they truly understand and are sorry. They’re not trying to get into the “good place” they’re doing as much good as they can knowing that no amount will make up for their past.

Which is why it’s so rare.

  • Human variation.

Since before we evolved into humans, it’s never been a good idea to have all your eggs in one basket. So some humans don’t just enjoy that social interaction, they literally need it.

Others fucking hate it. And want nothing more than to be a hermit.

The variation helps prevent an entire group from being wiped out at once.

Oxytocin is what’s playing a big role in that variation, and some people use a nasal spray to increase their levels and be more social. But if you’re a man and your ingroup developed along racial lines due to not being exposed to other races when very young…

That extra Oxytocin is gonna make you biased against men of other ethnic groups. The whole “they’re coming for our women” thing is literally baked into our DNA. But if you’re around various races when young, you don’t form in group along racial lines. They’re not automatically “them” because some your “us” looked like them.

Which is why Alabama banning Sesame Street due to inclusivity or Nazis complaining about “woke media” is actually a serious thing. Even just seeing mixed race interactions on TV is enough for young viewers to develop ingroups that include various ethnic groups

  • Technically the cost of the actual rail infrastructure is less

At least in America the problem is we gave our rail system to freight companies. Which is why the few passenger trains may have to pull over and wait for hours for a 5mph freight to pass instead of freight waiting for a much smaller, much faster passenger train.

But instead of maintaining the rail lines, the freight companies wait for a crash that insurance pays for them the government to repair it

So “cheaper” is a very deep question
