Well yes billionaires contribute to society but I didn’t think that was what OP was asking.

There’s already too many people who feel entitled to steal from others. People should think of how they can contribute to society, not how they can take, take, take from it.

If everyone is just given everything for free, who is going to pay for it all? That’s just putting other people into slavery to pay for all the people who want to mooch off society.

This makes it seem like men can’t learn. There’s nothing biological about organizing an event or talking to people.

If people are lonely it’s because they cause it themselves.

I’m in an activity group and it’s mostly the women of the group who are organizing the events. The men sign up to attend. The women are the ones who make plans and the men just go along.

Why don’t the men take initiative?

Even playing a board game, the guys just sit there playing a game. The women are the ones who introduce themselves, ask other people their names, what they do for a living, engage in conversation. This is all stuff men could be doing themselves but choose not to.

Some men isolate themselves using video games and didn’t join any social groups then complain that they are lonely. It’s like complaining you’re hungry when the food is right in front of you but you just won’t eat it – you’re expecting someone else to literally feed you.

Being a landlord IS a real job. You’re not getting it. You seem to have some idea that all a landlord does is sit back and collect rent. This is not true.

There’s a lot of work involved in setting up and managing properties. Some months it’s less and some months it’s more. Being self employed isn’t a 40 hour a week punch a clock type of job. The more properties, the more work is involved.

There’s a housing shortage due to not having enough housing for the people who want it. Read the dozens and dozens of articles over the past decade about how the United States hasn’t been building enough housing to keep up with demand.

Families don’t live together like they used to. People are living longer. People don’t want to live with others.

Your response tells me you don’t know what’s involved in the job and don’t care to learn.

You are mistaken regarding the activities that landlords do. And the lower the income of the tenant, the more work the landlord has to do.

Paperwork and dealing with government bureaucracy is part of the job.

Landlord activities directly affect the “client” which is the same in any service industry.

Being self employed still means having a job. Some people only know what it’s like to be an employee. They don’t know the ins and outs of running your own business. Perhaps that’s why you don’t understand the job of being a rental property owner.
