I miss when technology communities were about technology, and not a billionaire moron having drama with a bigoted neckbeard, who’s got dead animals stuck in his ceiling

Oh no, I can’t believe that Elon would just give shameless content straight to asmon like that… Wait stop, don’t make a video about getting unchecked on Twitter because the owner got mad and unchecked you tor calling him out on his silly video game stuff. I’m sure the video won’t at all be a viral hit…

LoL Somehow in Elon’s head it is the same: Pay someone to play your account and you take credit vs gameing on their own and pay someone to edit the streams

    🤭such ignorance

The more I see him talk the stupider I think he is. He has all these accolades but ive yet to see him say anything intelligent on any of the topics he speaks about.

He buys shit and he larps. That’s Elon.

The issue is his latest acquisition is Donald J. Trump

The fact that so many people never paid attention before is just fucking bizarre to me. He is not successful in ideas or accolades at all. He was born a rich kid, lied cheated and stole his way through his 20’s using his crazy father’s advice, and now he’s wealthy. The paramount point is that he never did real work to get where he is now. People not realizing that is either a result of an amazing PR team, or just willful ignorance on their behalf. Same Trump and the rest of these bedfellows. Scammers, liars, and thieves with no actual talent.

This lack of attention is simply a marker of how media is consumed. They sorta caught a smell and made up a story to source that smell without ever seeing what’s cooking. Half an idea with the blanks filled in by maybe and sounds right. A friend expresses an opinion that doesn’t disagree with any of it so that’s ran with like it’s fact. Headlines only, no actual reading to fact check. And here we are.

This is also how elections work.

The “Interesting” is very Muskesque. I also think if it was DMs to someone else, even in the USA that’s got to be some level of a legal privacy issue.

        I am wondering the same…

Not sure what the regulations are in the US for DMs but I would think/assume it falls under private communication, let alone the mail-privacy laws and that it may not be tampered with or exposed to the public by 3rd parties.

And in this case Musk seems to be a 3rd party, he’d like to claim ownership of any DMs on “his” platform ofcourse but DMs do have a nature of private communication between two parties.

So uhm yeah Elon, tell us about all those gunshot holes in your feet…

Not sure what is this about (I don’t watch YT) and if it’s a twitter thread, I never know if I have to start to read from the top or bottom?

the xcancel is giving you the thread as you should read it, top to bottom. it’s basically taking the bullshit and putting it outside Twitter so nonTwitter people can read it When shithead took over, he blocked nonusers from being able to see anything but one post, making it impossible to follow

xcancel is bypassing twitters insider only walled garden

I never understood the “enough spam” communities…

They don’t stop posts from going to main communities, it just doubles every post.

Like, especially in this case I agree that there’s too many musk posts…

But I just don’t understand how reposting every article about him helps anything.

It puts all discussion about it in one community so people who aren’t interested could block it.

Wait, does Elon really think all YouTubers do their own editing? A lot of them are really open about having an editor working for them.

You say that, but I wouldn’t put it past SpaceX to give him a hammer, a piece of wood, and a nail when they want to keep him busy. “Elon! You did so well! We’re going to get to Mars so much faster now! This is going right on the spaceship.”

What used to make South Park fun, was that it was an over-exaggerated caricature of real events. Today, real events are so fucked up and nonsensical, that you can’t even really make it up anymore
