I can relate. Regardless what and where i post, i get (at least) one downvote. I wonder if this on asshole following me somehow.
I can only assume for the others but this one would get some for the “wonder what you didnt wrong” line. Give it a 15 seconds proofread to the image before posting.
Usually I assume they’re tankies DVing me b/c I said something true that’s inconvenient for them.
is this your first day on the internet? who cares!
I downvoted it, because not everyone wants to argue with you about why they’re not liking your posts. Nobody owes you (or anyone for that matter) a constant explanation of things.
Crying for getting downvoted has been the easiest way of getting downvoted from.the beginning of times.
It’s not worth having a crisis over. It could be anything or nothing.
Posts like this are what the trolls want, btw.
Redditor chud behavior: gets bothered by a single downvote, edits comment to ask why they were down voted turning into a rant about the NPCs and sheeples who disagree with them. Subconsciously worried about karma points and awards.
Lemming chad behavior: Gets 20 upvotes and 10 down votes, happy 30 people reads their thing and glad to have put a controversial opinion into the world that might make someone think a new way.
I see a lot of the former on Lemmy too, unfortunately. Certain inflammatory users like to treat being heavily downvoted as some sort of victory and will write a long rant about it in an edit, because all of the “liberals” (that being anyone who disagrees with them) on this platform just can’t handle the truth that only they apparently see. They think they’re owed a multi paragraph point by point rebuttal of every point they make no matter how blatantly stupid or wrong it is. They never consider whether their arguments are even worth bothering with a rebuttal in the first place, and anyone who does try and argue usually gets nowhere.

Just kidding of course. ;)
Commit to the bit!
You know what you did.
No, I will not explain myself.
Depending on the client, accidentally clicking downvote can be pretty easy. More specifically Voyager is guilty of this.
There used to be downvote bots just running around too
