It’s… Wow. I see what you did there.
I have a 4 year degree and it has never advantaged me, ever. These days you need a perfect resume to even get a call. Even then you’re treated like an expendable henchman in a crime syndicate.
You don’t have to pay for it. The billionaires do, and they will do it without hesitation
How’s that working for everyone in the USA? How many “riots” or protests have we done that yield nothing?
It’s basically a glorified autocorrect, it uses the same technology underneath.
I dislike AI too but this is just ridiculous if you think that’s true. Lots of my colleagues in SWE use full blown AI development tools. I even used Claude AI to write an entire C# application, I did ZERO coding, yes, literally nothing! I have NEVER coded in C# before, I gave it all requirements, worked with it like a project manager… it created a full blown working application that was beyond my expectations.
Coding is a tiny part of professional software development.
Also not true. Some days, all I do is code. I have a daily standup, maybe some meetings with UI/UX. It’s not like I’m out there going out in the world though repairing ATMs or something. 65% of my job is coding
Garbage is very expensive that’s why you want to build a society that doesn’t create unnecessary garbage
Funny, how much hand wringing is going on in the sweaty mainstream media about a guy who merely put down a vicious oligarchy-loving killer. You’d get the impression that media moguls are worried that they’re next.
It’s a sign of the time that we’re living in. When people find joy in the death of others in a society, the quality of living is exceptionally bad. It’s reminiscent of Rome too where the last years of their society were filled with chaos
I know how APIs on reddit work, but you can block people who misuse the API if they’re doing something nefarious. Some of these AI are in my honest opinion very taxing on hardware. Having to retrieve millions of posts, comments, pictures, text, on demand… and send that to who knows where for AI scraping… Sounds very costly.
A toy like that is easy to create and not that expensive to offer.
Right, and the developers of Bsky didn’t think to maybe block something that scrapes all that personal information?
Honestly, it’s because we are experiencing a massive, unprecedented trash crisis like never before. People cannot find places to throw away trash because there’s so much of it everywhere. It’s a lot of fast food packing materials, disposable silverware, plates, napkins, stuff like that. The fact that trash cans are full everywhere, constantly, and people are trying to clean out their cars all the time anywhere they can… It’s simply screams trash crisis. People just cannot get rid of all the trash that they have, there’s too much coming in and not enough ways to throw it away. We need to stop using disposable crap that goes into the garbage
Rush hour traffic in big cities is like 1.5 hours each way. 3 hours of your life gone to hang out in an empty office.
These article titles are so crazy. Who thinks of this stuff?
there being too many old people for the young people to look after as they’d be too busy with their jobs
When your entire society revolves around working for a salary or for getting paid, that’s why you can’t take care of the old people. Now suppose AI automates a lot of stuff and we have time for taking care of older people… How are we supposed to do that without jobs? That’s the problem
My theory is that it will never stop making money because they want less people in society in general, it’s a way of trying to kill people off without actually having to do it yourself. As the number of people shrinks due to poverty and being unable to feed themselves, basically mass homelessness, and only the elite few surviving, those elite few won’t have to do anything because they already had tons of money, and now AI can do all the hard work that they were too proud to do before. So I think it’ll always be profitable. Just not for everyone.
A bunch of juvenile D-Linkuents. Get it? D-Link? Nevermind…
Threads is honestly terrible. There are these asinine little widgets on Instagram that show you threads that people have posted and don’t show you the full one so you click see more and it brings you to the app store. But no one really uses it much, so you see a lot of things being posted with no interaction at all
Lol It definitely does not. Most drink companies have gutted their rewards program, especially Starbucks.
