It is essentially confirmed that the Doomslayer is the same Doom Marine from Doom 1 and 2. Doom 3 is canon but the protagonist is a different guy. 2016/Eternal pick up the story of the original guy.

41·1 day agoLet’s go mfer. I said some cringy shit on Facebook when I was a teenager but I’ll own up to em. Largely, I stand by my opinions, doesn’t matter if my name is attached to them or not, I say what I feel and what I feel doesn’t change based on whether I have a name tag on or not.
I might find myself suddenly on some governmental lists of some interest, especially considering how vocally I have been speaking out against our incoming government, but other than that? I wear my past with pride. I’ll admit when I was wrong and stand by my opinions that still deserve them, and chuckle over some bad takes from the past, but I feel no shame in this arena.

The only way to get everyone to get along is to create a new, even lower underclass of citizen for the humans to all feel smug about. This is that.
This started as a joke but the more I think about it the more afraid I am that I’m right.
Make sure Proton is installed on the same drive the game is installed. I’ve never had a problem with ANY game I’ve attempted so long as that was true, and I’ve played BG3 and Satisfactory both on my Mint partition so I know those work.
If you’re running the game from a different drive then you have to get into symlinking and that gets complex. But if you make sure they’re on the same drive it should just work.
It means that folks are still expecting logic and consistency out of US lawmakers.
My home is already plenty dumb enough without me exerting that level of control.
